Dog Pictures

We drove to the Celery Fields today to photograph birds. But, there were only 3 or 4 species of very small birds. The best thing that happened was a truck that drove up with a Siberian Husky dog. The owner was taking the dog for a walk and I made a good picture of the beautiful dog. It will soon appear on products at Cafe Press. There are now 33 dog species on products at Cafe Press.

I just bought a digital SLR and have begun making pictures to use on products. Yesterday a beautiful Springer Spaniel was walked past our house. I grabbed my digital and ran outside. The lady walking the Springer agreed to the photo. It will soon appear on the full range of products at Cafe Press http://www.cafepress.com/photoaccents/664512 .

Since we are stock photographers, it was reasonable that my blog should have my picture. But, we usually do not make personal pictures. Our work is directed to our photo buyer needs. After a search through stock images, a picture of me was found.

The picture, made during a photo shoot in Seattle, Washington, had me sitting in our hotel under a floor lamp. Unfortunately, the lamp looked like it was growing out of my head. lol. After a little work in Photo Shop, I looked presentable and the blog now has the portrait.

Early this morning, while drinking coffee at the breakfast table, I saw a darling shih tzu on a walk with his owner. As fast as possible I found my camera and raced outside to catch the dog. The owner agreed to my making photos and the light was right.
The cute fluffy dog now resides in my Cafe Press shop where visitors can buy him on tshirts, mugs, mousepads and all CP merchandise.

Been busy at Cafe Press with dogs, too - 24 AKC breeds there, www.cafepress.com/photoaccents/664512. Those sections offer Christmas cards and other dog picture products. Buyers have been ordering Christmas cards since early September. Old English sheepdog is the most popular so far.

Our dog picture Squidoo lens has only been up for 3 days and we have the following dog breed pictures on products for sale: Australian cattle, border collie, Chinese crested dog, bulldog, beagle, German shepherd, shih tzu, Yorkshire terrier, pug dog, basset hound, and pomeranian.

The designs were made by a wide variety of Cafe Press shopkeepers- some photographers and some hand drawing or painting. We will continue to add animal breeds as the days go by.

Tomorrow we're taking our cameras to a nearby pet parade.
